Stitches used in this guttapusalu work are
- Chain Stitch
- Bead Work
- Zardosi Filling
Chain Stitch:
To do the chain stitch first bring your needle up through the back of the fabric and then you're going to take your needle back down through that same hole that you just came up through. Here you want to leave a little loop and then you're going to go one stitch length forward coming up from the back and bring your needle up through the center of this loop. Don't pull the thread too tight because you want that loop to stay there so you can see it. Then again go back down through the hole that you just came out of and that's going to be in the inside of that last stitch this time and leave a loop, Come one stitch length forward and make sure that the thread comes up through the center of that loop.Continue this process till the end of the line. At the end of the chain stitch bring your needle back just a little bit forward from the last stitch to secure the end. That is how you do a chain stitch.
