Butti design using satin stitch
Hello Friends,
In this post ,All over butti design tracing papers are available to download.All these designs are drawn by free hand.You can download all these butti designs and resize them as you wish.First you need to download and print these tracing papers.Then trace them on a tracing sheet and use yellow or white carbon sheet to transfer the designs onto the fabric.Please check my next blog for how to trace the design on a fabric in three ways.
Download butti design tracing papers:
After tracing this butti design on fabric then apply glue in the middle circle and stick the mirror.Take the gold colored zari thread and stitch it all over the mirror with the satin stitch or else you can stitch the mirror with shisha work.Then take blue color anchor cotton thread and stitch the outline of the design with back stitch.After applying the back stitch,take the blue color anchor cotton thread and fill the design with satin stitch.Then take 4 strands of green color silk thread and fill the leafs with satin stitch.After that take 4 strands of green color silk thread and stitch the stem and curve shapes with chain stitch.

- Mirror Stitch / fill with Satin stitch
- Chain Stitch
These butti designs can be placed on the blouse sleeves,around the blouse neckline,on plain saree pallu and kurtis as well.Few of the designs also suit home decor like curtains and bed lines and pillow cases.
Materials used for this butti design:
- 5 mm plastic mirrors
- Blue color anchor cotton thread
- Green color silk thread
In this work you can also use blue color silk thread instead of anchor cotton thread.If you want to use blue silk thread then take 10/12 strands of silk thread to work this design.
Before start working make sure you have all the required materials.
