In this butti design, I used different color anchor cotton threads and mirrors to do this work. We did this work completely with the threads without using any beads. This design can be worn as buttas in the middle of your blouse. Only stitch contrast color piping thread around the neckline and work these buttas all over the complete blouse.

After tracing the design on the fabric you can start filling this butti design like as shown in the video given  on my you tube channel silver knots. Please check my channel for this work.

Stitches used in this butti design are:

  • Herringbone Stitch
  • Leaf Stitch
  • Mirror Stitch

You can also fill the petals with satin stitch / Romanian stitch.

This butti design looks simple and beautiful. You can put this design as a butti in the middle of the blouse sleeves. I have already made a video on how to design a blouse neck . If you have not seen it, please visit my you tube channel shanthi's creative corner and check the video. This design is very easy to work with. The stitches used in this complete design are chain stitch and satin stitch. Materials used for  this design to work are green color silk thread, sugar beads, gold ball chain and drop shape kundans.

Herringbone Stitch:

To fill the leaves with a herringbone stitch first bring your needle up from the back at the top of the leaf and then go down from the center line and then bring your needle up on the right-hand side of the stitch that we stitched before and following the curve shape of the leaf design. Then bring the needle down slightly below the end of the first stitch on the center line and then go over to the left side of the leaf design following the left curve and bring your needle up from the left side curve. Then again bring the needle back down the center line slightly below the last stitch that you did. In this way, fill the leaf alternately once from the left hand side and again from the right hand side.

Materials used for this butti design:

  1. 10 mm plastic/ glass mirrors
  2. Pink color anchor cotton thread
  3. Green color anchor cotton thread
  4. Yellow color anchor cotton thread
