All over butti work tracing papers

Hello Friends,

In this post ,Tracing papers for all over butti designs are available to download.These designs below are useful in practicing hand embroidery, aari work and maggam work.These designs below can be downloaded and most of them can be resized too.First download these tracing papers and trace them on a tracing sheet.Then use yellow or white carbon sheet to transfer these designs onto the fabric.

This all over butti work design work is very easy to do.I only used different color anchor cotton threads in this complete work.The stitches used in this complete work are satin stitch,french knots and whipped back stitch.You can also do this work as buttis in the middle of blouse sleeves or as buttis in the middle of sarees.

I also did this butti work completely with thread work.Only two colors anchor cotton threads used in this design. Stitches used in this design are back stitch,fly stitch,lazy daisy stitch and kutch work.I have made a video on youtube channel silver knots how to make these diamond shape boxes work for those who can't do kutch work.Check it out.This work can be worn as a buttis in the middle of cotton sarees, silk sarees, lenin sarees and pattu sarees as well.

How to work the first butti design:

After tracing the design on the fabric and then take pink color anchor cotton thread and stitch all the petals with the satin stitch or else you can stitch the petals with Romanian stitch.

Then take yellow color anchor cotton thread and stitch the lines with back stitch.

Back Stitch:

First bring your needle up through the back of the fabric on one side and then come one stitch length forward and bring your needle back through the fabric.Then move one stitch length away and bring your needle up through the fabric. Again bring your needle down to the end of the previous stitch and move one stitch length away and continue the same process. Repeat these steps until you reach the end of the line.

Take yellow color anchor cotton thread through the fabric at the end of the line and stitch the lines with whipped back stitch.

Whipped Back Stitch:

Once back stitch is done bring your needle up to one side of the final stitch then bring your needle through the bottom of each stitch.Continue stitching in this way,repeat these steps until you reach the end of the line.

when the stitching is done,take the pink color anchor cotton thread at the end of these lines and stitch the french knots.

French Knots:

First bring your needle up through the bottom of the fabric and then wrap your thread twice around the needle and then go back down in or near the same hole that you came out of, then bring your needle back through the other side of the fabric. Make sure that you are holding the thread tightly but not too tight.
